This Week's Media Lessons:
Mrs. Henderson's Weekly Update
6/8/20
Dear Hamilton Hawks,
Summer break is almost here, are you counting down the days? I am usually so excited for Summer break but this year I miss my students and my library so much. I'm going to start counting down the days until the start of the next school year instead.
This week's Media lessons are all about what we want you to do over the summer: Read. Explore. Design.
A great way to read, explore, and design is through a passion project. Below are some resources you might find helpful when working on your passion projects this summer. I'm passionate about many things but most of all... VIDEO GAMES! So I am going to create a passion project all about video games.
I also wanted to share a special book with you this week. It was written AND illustrated by one of our very own Hamilton Hawks. That's right, a kid made this book all by herself. Want to know something amazing about this kid? She is in Kindergarten! That means one of our youngest hawks took her passion about the zoo and used her knowledge of writing from this school year to create a book. The best part of a project is sharing it with others, so I hope you will read and enjoy Isla's book At the Zoo with me. Maybe it will inspire you to write a book too... if you do, send it to me! I love reading your books.
Happy learning,
Mrs. Henderson
